For Summer 2008, UCLA will offer the following undergraduate study abroad programs in China:
Business Chinese in Shanghai
Offered by the Center for International Business Education and Research (CIBER), this program promotes a deeper understanding of China’s business climate, and helps students to overcome linguistic, geographical and cultural barriers to achieve higher communicative competence in business contexts.
Global Studies in Shanghai
This program will explore the relationship between the old and the new in Shanghai, concentrating on the city’s booming economy, the role of the communist political system, and how the lives of the city's residents have changed since the opening to the market and the west a decade ago.
