University Programs in Chinese
UCLA Department of Asian Languages and Cultures
The department offers courses in Chinese language, literature, religion, thought, and culture. The language courses cover four levels: elementary, intermediate, third- and fourth-year advanced modern Chinese. During the summer, the department offers intensive Chinese which allows students to cover a year’s language instruction in only nine weeks. The summer intensive is open to visiting students.
