Delegation of Shanghai Principals' Visit to UCLA

The UCLA Confucius Institute hosted a delegation of school principals from Shanghai who were participating in a unique “Principal Shadowing Program,” a partnership program between the California School Board Association and the Shanghai Municipal Education Commission. This program brought together principals from top Shanghai and California schools for a unique professional development and cross-cultural educational experience. Participating California school districts included Monterrey, San Gabriel, Santa Rosa, and Santa Monica-Malibu. While at UCLA the principals were introduced to the California NanoSystems Institute and the newly-established the Art | Science Center Lab (a joint project developed with the Department of Design | Media Arts. The UCLA CI looks forward to working with the California and Shanghai school administrations to develop meaningful educational opportunities for high school students.
